Poll
Donuts is amazing, but too far left for front to back listening.

I love Dilla, and cop everything I can find with his name on it.

Donuts is his seminal release.

I love Donuts, don't get me wrong, but I gotta be on some next level sheet to listen to that whole album front to back. I mean, for Jay Dee, It's so way out in left-field , yet there are so many quintessential beats loaded on it, I can't ignore it, so I keep busting it out. Yet if I get to side 4 of the double LP, I gotta mark my calendar, because that almost never happens.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Dilla's Donuts is best consumed in small doses.
You don't wanna eat a whole box of Krispy Kreme's.

(...or an even better example) Randy's Donuts

...I can't be the only one who finds it filling...

I agree. I LOVE Dilla and could listen to his beats for hours. But this album is way left field, small doses indeed. Kinda like MF Doom shit too.

ahhh......Krispy Kreme - my favorite donuts!

I can handle listening to Dilla's donuts from front to back. I dont expect too much from it, since it's really like a demo-style beat tape.

peace.
