Where has she been lately?

She's one of the best female MCs still* spitting fire, but I don't remember the last time I heard her on an official release...

Is there some noteworthy joints within the past few years that I missed?

Unpopular opinion alert: She's never done it for me... I'd rather hear Bahamadia over her any day..

I just read an article about her the other day in XXL .She is making a comeback with a new mixtape and she's doing shows...I think she was a bit disillusioned with the industry for a moment.

I donno. I like Bahamadia a lot too, but she's way more chill than Jean Grae. JG spits madder rhymes, especially with her earlier EPs, I miss that sound of hers a bit. Her last album was a lil weak and the one before that was too, but her singles and her EPs have some heat.

Good to hear she's coming out of her "dark place" and droppin new stuff for sure.

yeah..i haven't heard anything from her in a while. She was coming off strong for a minute...but started to come out with some wack sh*t right before her (now) hiatus. I still fux with her, tho'.

That Jeanius album with 9th Wonder was one of the best albums of the year (when it originally leaked.... the official release with the replayed samples was musically weaker). Haven't heard much of her recently other than following her on twitter, which is pretty funny. She did a dope track with Herbaliser, I think, back when she was called What What.
