T-La Rock had the voice, the beats, and I always thought his earliest singles (thanks to in part Mantronix) were ahead of the game big-time.

I have a few of his staple 12"s but not enough of his collection.

Much respect to T, he had one of the nicest flows in the 80's. Most of his first lp is absolutely top notch and a couple of joints off his second lp are damn good too. Back to burn is probably my favorite though. I remember reading an article online a few years back on that accident he had and he was living in a nursing home with mostly old people but still rapping to them. He seems to have recovered well.

There was a time, not too long ago when an original of this 12" would fetch bank because of supply and demand. Even the crappy reissue of that 12" is overpriced accordingly.
