^^^ dope !!! Must be from Mtv Brazil , because I never saw any shit like that on MTV . Although back in the day we were blessed with some nice hip hop videos ( any genre videos really ) , but it would have been nice to catch some of the other country / culture's take on hip hop and other genres too !!
@ hiphopchiq , glad to see you came back around . So you laid out a list , who's good ??? I know Kevin Gates music , because cats in Nashville wear that dude out . He's got an interesting flow that he can change up a lot and I respect that , but I get a bored listening to him . But , drop a few words on the other cats you listed , and how you feel about Kevin Gates ...

Isiah Rashad dropped one of the best projects of the year in Cilvia Demo EP to my ears. Blows away any of the other recent TDE stuff. (ScHoolboy Q was a flop, Ab-Soul straddled the mainstream too heavily). Cilvia Demo is a really special project, I hope he can keep it up as well as garner the attention he deserves.

I haven't gotten to the bottom of the Young Thug hype but can say for sure that it seems to have to do with his flow and general style. I can't understand half of what he's saying but he's got an infectious delivery that is influencing plenty of mainstream rappers these days. I think his eccentricities are what's keeping him on the map—all the speculation about his being gay is feeding a fire that keeps burning—and he's clearly got an ear for beats. That said, not my cup of tea; sometimes really catchy though.

Vince Staples is pure dope. He stole the show on Common's album with his two appearances. Just wow. (Notice the Adrian Younge flip too.)

I haven't heard enough from either Lil Bibby or Kevin Gates to make a fair assessment yet. Still, I've seen some interview with Kevin Gates that I appreciated. I know Bibby is holding down the "Chiraq" sound but haven't listened to too much.
