Help with info about a record..
February 16, 2015 01:07AM
So I was digging through the shelves today and came across a record I had forgotten I had. It's a single sided, white label remix of 50 Cent's Wanksta by Alchemist. Features both the vocal and instrumental mix and has 0 info/credits/etc. The only info on the whole release is a sticker that says the artist and tracklist (and catalog # of FC-001..

Does anyone have any info on this?

That's a tough one . Looked all over , but can't find that version. I found an official Shady Aftermath release 12" , but no white label . Does it sound like a bootleg , or is it a quality pressing ??? I searched by title and catalog number to no avail...

Check this out clnthwrd, it appears Fiddy had a lot of single sided white labels and yours is missing from this list at discogs.

Notice there's Wanksta / 21 Questions ‎(12" ) and it's catalog number is FC02. Yours must be the first in that series and it's not been added to Discogs yet.

And as per who-sampled Alchemist sampled this song for that remix...

^So if that sample is on there then that's your answer, it's definitely the Alchemist remix.

I'm not too familiar with the remix, but I'll tell you if the fam here is into jazz.
Follow up on John Cameron and his quarter. He has a lot of joints.
I am not sure if I had some breakbeats from him or not,but he did do some funky joints like Troublemaker
which I am sure you guys would like.
