Buying from the US is a rare occasion these days, since the shipping costs are crazy. Years ago I regularly bought from Turntable Lab and Dusty Grooves but there was a hike in shipping costs 15+ years ago so I stopped. I dont get it. It costs me around £8 to send an LP to the US, but costs me around $24 to get one here. Doesnt make sense!

Shipping rates in general have gone crazy. Some are lopsided like that other times it's universally stupid. In the states it costs a lot more to ship priority mail than it used to take and it takes longer since we killed a lot of post offices to "save money".

Tonight I was reminded how great this album is ...

Pete Rock & C. L. Smooth - The Main Ingredient 2 lp . This is the recent Get On Down version on clear vinyl , which I have to give them props on . There's no over the top packaging or free download , just ill hip hop pressed up just right . The sound on here is great contrary to some other G. O. D. releases . I'm not sure if any of the current contributors to the board will remember this , but a while back we had a debate on what a classic record is . Whether you were here for the debate or not , if you need an example of a classic , I would argue with anybody that this album fits the bill ...
