Haven't heard it, but in general I'm leery of any posthumous Dilla/Jay Dee release. There has been a flood of that stuff since he passed. You could probably dedicate a standalone website to detailed reviews of all of it IMHO. At any rate, agree that rhyming definitely wasn't his strength. I'm sure he wanted to be respected as a "total artist" that could do it all, but it is what it is. Even on "classics" released while the man was still living like Welcome to Detroit, Ruff Draft, and Fantastic Vol.2, the beats carry those albums IMHO.

Bicasso - Livin' Life Lookin' Out CD (2001)

Pulled out one of my old Living Legends Crew CDs the other day. Haven't listened to this in a long time. This is a good one, easily one of my favorites of the LL CDs I have. At 21 tracks, it's a little long and does drag a bit, but it's mostly consistent. Lots of guest appearances: Eligh, Nebulous, PSC, Grouch, Pep Love, etc. I think Abstract Rude is even on a track near the end.

Nice ^^^ I don't own any Bicasso solo stuff . I always ended up with Murs or Grouch solo albums .

This one is really good. I have Cartoon World 3 which is also pretty good but I like this one better. Funny, I don't have any Murs solo albums whatsoever, and he made it big in the indie rap scene. Not sure why I never bought any. For the Grouch, I have Making Perfect Sense, which I used to listen to a lot a few years back. Might have to pull that one out to listen to soon.

The problem with Murs albums is that they get stale kinda quick . Atleast for me anyway .
