O.C. - Jewelz

Listened to this in the car today. I definitely don't like it as much as his first album, but it's good. More sophisticated, smother production and a fair amount of guest spots. There are a couple lines that are pretty cringeworthy, but overall it's a good album.

^Great album, I really like that one too.

I had to laugh at the "cringeworthy" comment, I think you're right and that's probably safe to say about a lot of good Hip Hop albums.

Haha, yeah. There are so many classic rap albums that have at least one or two tracks I end up skipping when they come on because the lyrics are so bad.

Haha. That is funny. I remember in the 5th or 6th grade every kid would brag about owning that tape even if they didn't simply because of all the media flack they got and it seemed "rebellious". Years later, some of my friends had some local "Booty House" mix tapes that made 2LC sound like poets by comparison. Funny stuff.

Another time I was in a record store and late 40s guy comes in and asks the clerk for the most foul mouthed, nasty thing that he could blast to piss off his neighbors. Apparently they were in some kind of dispute...maybe the neighbor's dog was shitting on his lawn or whatever. At any rate, the clerk pointed him straight to 2LC.
