Yeah man. I think I might try this one out. I started building and modifying my own pres last year. It was pretty daunting at first, but I have a grasp on the basics now. Still learning a lot, however. I kinda figured that I was wasting time drooling over Neve preamps I couldnt afford. So I decided I would start building my own clones. There are several kits you can buy that are pretty cheap. If you're ever interested in any builds let me know. I have a few Tape Op schematics in the vault. It's like Legos for music nerds..kinda...lol.
