Around 2000 , but about 6 months ago, I weeded out all of what I thought was junk , and got rid of almost 2200 records . I had a bad habbit of buying huge lots of records. About 3 years ago , I sold over a1000 records to take the collection down before moving.

^Agreed, you gotta purge out the shit you bought on a whim otherwise you end up digging thru your own shit too long to get to the meat and potatoes.

I sell off my 'impulse buys' or 'bad buys' about once a year. Then all you got left is the dope sheet.
The less room you got, the more picky you get about what you keep.

Somewhere between 1000 - 2000. I try to only buy stuff I know I'll listen to. Over the past 10 years I've only picked up a handful of records I'd feel comfortable getting rid of right now.
