Hey everyone,

I joined this forum yesterday, so I'm just popping in to introduce myself. I'm 25 years old, and I mainly listen to punk/hardcore and indie rock, although over the last few years I've been getting into some hip-hop, country, and bluegrass. My signature should have a link to my bandcamp collection if want a snapshot of what I've been listening to recently. I'm looking forward to interacting with everyone here. This seems like a nice place.

Welcome to the forum!

Punk/hardcore was my first real musical love. I still listen to it all the time but my tastes have broadened quite a bit since I was younger. Still listen to a lot of older indie rock type stuff as well, same with hip hop. I think you'll find a big appreciation for just about any genre here, though the forum was really built on hip hop as the foundation. If you want to talk country, Rchecka is the man - he has a big collection of old school country records.

Several of us are active on Bandcamp as well - most of the things I've bought personally there are ambient and electronic music related, though I do hunt for other genres there sometimes also.

Hi everyone,

I'm yet another /r/vinyl refugee due to the current affairs over there, which I was introduced to this message board by LionsMouth. I've gotten a lot of great Blue Notes jazz recommendations from his imgur galleries and threads on /r/vinyl and ever since getting pressings from Music Matters, thanks to him. My music tastes involve in black/death/thrash/NWOBHM metal, hardcore/crust punk, some jazz, industrial, rock, video game/movie soundtracks and scores, synthwave, new wave/synth-pop, and other assorted genres of music that I touched on but not in-depth like rap, pop, electronic, classical, ambient/noise, folk (mainly neofolk), etc.

It's refreshing to see this type of message board and I hope to contribute more.

Hi Slavikcc,

Welcome to the forum. Feel free to post any of your recent listens in the music threads...that's how we get discussion going...things have been quiet around here lately but we're still here. I deleted my r/vinyl account over a year ago now so it's nice to know some people still remember me from there...feel free to direct anyone here as well. The focus here is really music, finding good stuff new or old. We don't like to get into arguments about equipment/gear or anything like that.

LM
