Very interesting. I'm guessing he figured out what different passages look like "quiet/loud/build up/etc" and identified the records based on the length and frequency of these passages. He probably spent hours staring at grooves while he was listening to records. I wonder if he was thrown off by records cut with a computer controlled DMM lathe? The grooves are closer together on those.

He's a savant. Probably took him about 3 seconds a record to connect the dots.

@ death hop he was also on the 80s show That's Incredible" I remember that for some reason. I also remember the water skiing squirrel from that show. ((giggle))
