I have always been a fan of the song Sunny by Bobby Hebb .

I mean , how could that song get any better , right ?? Well I came across this stripped down live version with Bobby Hebb and Ron Carter that blew me away.

Got me thinking that there must be more of these live versions that are as amazing or better than the original recordings. Add on if you know any.

I think this a great idea for a thread! So many times a song can take on new dimensions in a live setting that make it totally different than a studio version. Thanks for posting this!

I know everyone's likely heard this one, but I really like Springsteen and have been listening to him quite a bit over the past couple of days. This is one of my favorite songs of his. The studio version is a graceful acoustic track that showcases the melancholy tragedy inherent in Steinbeck's Grapes Of Wrath.

This live version from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 25th anniversary concert with Tom Morello gives way to righteous anger and Morello's solo at the end (starts around 6:49 in the video below) is just so fucking epic I literally felt my jaw drop the first time I saw it.
