Man Who Bought 34th Anniversary Reissue Of Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' Feeling Like Real Idiot After Passing Display For 35th Anniversary Edition

ENID, OK—Longtime Fleetwood Mac fan Michael Gastin reportedly felt like a complete moron this week after walking by a retail display for the 35th anniversary remastered CD box set of the band’s celebrated 1977 album Rumours, released less than a year after he purchased the Rumours 34th anniversary edition. “Goddamn it, I can’t believe I wasted my money on the 34th anniversary reissue when I could have just waited a little longer and gotten an awesome 35th anniversary re-release,” the embarrassed fan said after observing that the deluxe 35th anniversary edition of the album features an expanded booklet with photographs, essays, and interviews about the making of Rumours not included in the commemorative booklet packaged with the 34th anniversary deluxe box set. “And look at this thing—it’s huge! It’s like twice as big as the 32nd and 33rd anniversary editions combined.” At press time, Gastin had reportedly opted to purchase the album due to its inclusion of an early jam session that purportedly sheds light on the little-documented tensions between band members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.

I gotta laugh out loud at this, they are mocking guys like me in a way. DJ ((giggle))

(Although I'm not trying to hunt down Fleetwood Mac represses, that much I can assure you!)

saw this re-issue (digitally) on iTunes like two weeks ago or so.....i sampled throught the various demo versions of songs, the different takes (versions of songs), etc. The only thing that i liked was the Dreams Take 2 (version) which is a more of an acoustic version of the original, radio-known, album version of the song...no backgorund chourus' or anything - a pretty mellow version. Yeah....I D/L'ed the song - but that was about it....((chiefing))

Dug Fleetwood big time in the day especially the vocals of the gypsy Stevie Nicks,
But not trying to lay down extra cash for something like that. You can get all the bells and whistles about any group for free
if you look far and wide enough.

Peace.

^^ I don't know about music for free but yeah, add this to the incessantly growing list of "why is this being reissued?"

When Michael Jackson died they reissued Thriller for the umpteenth time and prices online for his records went from 3.99 for that album used to 33.99, some fools were asking 100 bucks or more, and that album is the pinnacle of worldwide circulation. Nowadays you don't even have to die to get the unnecessary reissue treatment. I mean, Kenny Rogers is still kickin it and the Gambler is getting repressed? Kay?!? That LP is for sale online right now with 48 different Discogs sellers starting at 1 dollar.
