The Foxx era Ultravox! stuff is kind of hard to classify. The Ure era is more conventional but good too. That one is my favorite of theirs overall. I think the first six albums are all really solid. First four are absolutely mandatory IMHO. I've said this before but don't ignore John Foxx's solo stuff either. His first three albums are all great. I might even say that I like The Garden more than anything by Ultravox! Probably heresy to some fans.

Pussy Riot - In Riot We Trust
Oi! The Nische Records, 2017

The newest release from Russian punk band Pussy Riot. Overtly political (only if you are fluent in Russian, though) and tough as nails, these women know what punk rock is all about in a way most of the modern so-called hardcore bands from the US can't even begin to imagine. Several members of this group have been jailed for more than three years at a time for protesting a corrupt and morally bankrupt system, and still they refuse to back down and stay silent.

That track sounded pretty good. I'd only heard about them through the news and never any of their music until just now.

Rikk Agnew Band - Learn.
Frontier Records, 2016

Agnew's 2016 album is a raging affair from this pioneer of the SoCal punk scene. Even after almost four decades, he can still write those great songs and amazing riffs that pretty much put Orange County on the punk map. Ever single song on here is an absolute banger, with not a single moment of wasted time.

Need to get around to checking this out fully when I have time. Every review I've seen of it has been pretty positive.
