Yeah, definitely not something I'd put on every day but it's a cool record. Then again I don't put on weird stuff like the early Butthole Surfers or Residents or whatever every day either.

Joy Division - Substance (2015 Warner/Rhino Reissue) 2xLP



Warner/Rhino did a nice job on this one. Cut by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road and pressed Optimal in Germany. The packaging isn't quite as nice as the Still reissue from this same series (no gatefold jacket) but it's plenty serviceable.

I highly recommend all the 2015 reissues. Much better than the 2007/2008 Rhinos pressed at Rainbo, at least in terms of the pressing quality. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the mastering on the 2007/2008s, but the pressing left something to be desired (off-center, weird clicks here and there).
