Howard Rumsey's Lighthouse All Stars - Music for Lighthousekeeping LP

So here is an album I picked up based primarily on reputation. This sort of "West Coast" jazz seems to be not very in fashion these days, but I dig it.

^Not my cup of tea but funny and amusing nonetheless. Reminds me of the sort of jokey dance acts that were popular in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Joanne Brackeen - Keyed In (a/k/a Keyed Up) LP

Discogs Page

So here is an interesting jazz piano trio LP I picked up because I was drawn to the cover and recognized some of the musicians from other records. It's a very nice album, gets a bit busy and virtuoso-like in places, calmer in others. Maybe along the lines of something ECM would've put out at the time. This was released on the Tappan Zee label, which was an imprint of Columbia run by Bob James. Eddie Gomez on bass here, Jack DeJohnette on drums. My copy is a Dutch pressing which has a misspelled titled on the cover. The real title should be "Keyed In". This is definitely worth grabbing if you come across it, shouldn't cost too much either for a nice copy.
