Good post,RC.. Back in the day the breakdancin' format was a little different. The classic backspin was'nt incorporated yet. So the move for me that I liked the most was The Helicopter. It was easy to do and you threw it in to maintain a little balance b4 you rocked other moves. Haven't tried it in ages, but I'm in great shape for a cat my age,so I probably could do it agaiby BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
The break is at 2:11...try not to break any furniture.haha Special thx to the good doctor himself, one RChecka for helping a brother figure some things out! Peace!by BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
Ok,Uptown I gotta check it out.Sounds good. But Kevin Hart knows the rules of the streets,If you're out there spittin' game and you run into some consequences,You gotta play that one out.Mayweather beatin' his ass would've been some additional real all-star funny s**t Peace to you.by BM31 - General Discussion
Fresh is the word!...haha P,decent supply down here in The Sunshine State.I think the people here get a gun before they get a pacifier.... and a DOG!by BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Yes, talked with The TapeMaster Troy L. about this sometime ago.RC. The issue was that in the artwork itself there wasn't a whole helluva lotta room to put a bunch of the mainstays. My peeve was that Disco King Mario's main place J.H.S. 123,Grand Imperial Kenny Ken's 100 Park along with,Rosedale and Castle Hill parks and Stevenson High School was too significant to overlook. Different spin coming down the pike...I think ICE CUBE's PREDATOR album was underappreciated on the East. The riots and things was going on in L.A. and he had a few cuts on that album speaking about them. 92 was a tight year to get in airplay because there was a bunch of heavy duty albums in rotation. Also COMMON's debut album - CAN I BORROW A DOLLAR. which was produced by No I.D.by BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Havent caught it yet,P. Does it come on in the evening or later in the night? Cause I work odd hours. Is that Robin Thicke on the end...of Paula Patton fame? The woman from Deja Vu with Denzel. Peace.by BM31 - General Discussion
RC you know you're the resident razzatitioner here So we get in what we can while we can. Also,I'm never doubt anyone ones skills.I've seen a lot of stuff in this life,so I would not be one bit surprised to see you breakout a backspin.. Which brings me to this quick story..Caught up with an old buddy of mine from Camp Lejeune this past December..He was down here vacationing.Heby BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
I hear ya,Tru..They took the long link option away on youtube.Vamo is helpin' me get back on track. Then I'll fire the post back up like Rick James! Peace!by BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Thx Vamo,I'm trying that, but when I preview the post. It just says" Video: www.youtube .com" It does not show the video itself inside the post. HB and peace!by BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

Not too much stuff can match VJ Ralph McDaniels in the hey day.If there ever was a point where Hip Hop took off toward the sky it was that! Loved them laces! They was most critical for the expansion of flyness in the Hip Hop realm. The possibilities were endless. Especially the checkerbox. took a long time to do but got alot a looks when you was finished. I came from the ankle breakin' Chby BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
What the f--- you mean I can't sing is an album done back in 1974 by Melvin Van Peeples. Mario's dad of course. He dropped a few joints before ths one but they were considered spoken word.Which were all precursors to Rap music (that's the tie in) but this album was traditional with funk of course.Bringing this one to your attention for dopability level.Which in turn on thiby BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
Yall remember them? They was out bout 91 or 2,consisted of Buckshot,5 ft and DJ Evil Dee. One of my favorite groups, they was out of Brooklyn,USA and ran with Smif and Wessun.Debuted Enta the Stage bout' 93 if I remember right and had the joints So get wrec and Who got the props. Was yall feelin them or not? On the recognized birthdate of Hip Hop this year,Hip Hop will officially turn 40. Which means one Where did all the time go? and two All of yall are just as old as me,haha. In anycase, I was wondering if you would like to share your thoughts on things within the 40 years of HipHop that you would have extended longer or things that you would have rather Hip Hop have lived without.Off the top...by BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
@BL.I hear ya.There were a few records that the DJ's perplexed us with, since the labels were all washed off or written and marked over. Many times they shifted the album covers also.Indiscreet and Sesso Matto immediately come to mind,Face of Love also.Couple that with the change of speeds on some other beats like famously Rocket in the Pocket and Theme from the Planets,Fruit Song, etc..madeby BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
Thx 4 the info Vamo..but I think I wrote it wrong, haha I was referring to the youtube site itself. When I click on the share button,I get a the URL but it is embed by rearranged letters and numbers. Before, I was able to click "long link" and it would straighten the URL out,but now that option is not there. Peace to ya.by BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
@JayB..Yes,my brother track that one down. It's a small difference, but it means a lot in the Hip Hop realm. The "dance" that had the whistle part was the one that was on RCA (Discotek) 12". The vinyl was colored red with a yellow decal. The Percussion explosion album itself contained the copy that did not have the whistle.Which back in the day was a bummer.Because most people fouby BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
^ One of my favorite joints.I wore out the Jensens in my box style Black Nissan Maxima on dosages of ATCQ and The Jungle Brothers back in the day.Daylight, like many of the Roy Ayers produced joints, don't play by R&B rules. It is not structured. To me that is what makes it unique. It never seems that the vocals follow the groove.Ingenius on Roy's part.If you listen long enough you'by BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

Checka has that subtle way of getting his messages across.Nuf' respect,my dude. * (RAMP - Come into Knowledge album, done in 1977.Produced by Roy Ayers and Edwin Birdsong. The song from the album name Lifeline on that Roy Ayers album Vamo. Is one of my all time favorite joints. For those who wish to know the legendary Running Away is on that album also. Peace.by BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
@JayB.....Hold on to that New Birth album. It is filled with covers from other artist.Like Mike Jack and James Taylor, even a cover of Ooh child.Bound to end up in a commercial or a sample near you. Also a quick question, does that album that has the Herman Kelly joint contain the whistle part or not? If it does hang on to that one too.by BM31 - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
QuoteUptownKid BM31 - you are correct on all accounts - excellent album. Truth be told, i gotta thank Rchecka for putting me on to them...and blessing me, years ago with the vinyl. I feel ya,Uptown..but this is where i'm getting at.I guess my opinion kind of ties into RC's post about Reddit vinyl.A majority of the people around the world using the internet on a regular basis are the under 30 year olds.Everybody knows that but that demographic has the shortest attention span. They want their info like yesterday. That said, when they cruise by sites like these and feelby BM31 - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
