Haven't seen yet, but actually watched a documentary yesterday on record stores situation in the UK, there's a full length doc which was released in September 2012 called Last Shop Standing. Reall looks essential. Somebody have it?by eiki - General Discussion
Beauty! The original photography is very powerful.by eiki - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
Even playing Eminem was not an easy role for Eminem. He couldn't work it out. Too complicate I guess Ps: you never said how many roles or what kind of roles they had to play for being in or out of the count. See Michael Jordan played in one movie as far as I can remember, Jam (a masterpiece). He played so well he won an Oscar and had to live the Bulls and all ^^by eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Also when rappers get old they become fatter and greedy, but that's another storyby eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop

Been listening to Tycho - Dive (2011) Downtempo, IDM, often told to be a copy of Boards Of Canada, but IDM was worked on by many artists and I feel something unique an personal not at all opportunist from Mr Hansen's side. Love it, and he's a cool designer too, which makes all his work something deeply thought about. Good. and The Future Sound Of London - Accelerator (1991)by eiki - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

Quoterchecka My wife and I saw this this weekend... Prometheus After downing a half bottle of wine at dinner my wife fell asleep during it. I kept prodding her awake, it was REALLY great but she's not a sci-fi buff so she wasn't feeling it. I thought it was KICK ASS. Seriously, my favorite of the Alien movies besides Alien and Aliens, plot was great, the suspense was crazby eiki - General Discussion
So for the record, any shot can do? I'm doing digital post processing, and I have some amazing shots, but well the light is modified...by eiki - General Discussion
I've noticed a 404 return page when using the quick answer option. Though the message seems to be posted anyway. Just to let ya knowby eiki - OP: Periodic Table of Hip Hop Elements
QuotevamosarapiarI've noticed a bunch of reissues lately that really only represent an opportunity for the label and/or artist to make money as opposed to a reissue that is really called for (by the fans). That is absolutely how I feel it with those Back To Black 180g reissue. What does it bring to the listener? Just a more expensive native price, vinyls are 180g and you get your free 3MPby eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Another time when i really felt like shit was when after releasing the "for the last time ever" limited box set of the 4 track era, was announced a month later a Japanese release and later on a best of in vinyl. How much sense does it make to lie to your fans 10 times a year?by eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Well my most favorite of all 4 discs is undoubtedly Disc 2, but there are very cool tunes on disc 3 and I can't seem to get enough of Vol1 and 4 which are mixed circa the same time span, since they both are from KMEL Radio, my only concern would be to know what the heck happened to mixes N°1 to 3? all in all to me the best of his releases since 2008. I mean I didn't appreciate the teby eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop

Thanks vamosarapiar for the kind words, I've decided to specialize into collecting Shadow, but I also like to get other artists releases for example DJ Krush. It took me 5 years already to collect all these. I'll add more pictures if you like, for my vinyls for example. Anyone heard about DJ Food a.k.a Strictly Kev? 10 years ago he release a 5 copies CDr called Press cuttings. I knby eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Quotercheckawhen the artist did that he put all 100 of them in a giant square 50X50 and created a huge image of that bandit guy that could be seen from the tops of buildings. Woah I never knew about this. Have you ever seen a pic of this massive piece of art? QuotercheckaI'm satisfied to only own one of the 100. Sure you can!by eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Honestly I never looked after this kind of device before, and I only have 1 warped record, but as you mentionned acetates are super fragile, I wouldn't like to break it Cool stuff though, still uber pricey Which makes me think about some good looking stuff I've heard about reading a mastering engineer magazine (see the niche!) It's an Aussie invention called Record Revirginizeby eiki - General Discussion
I don't have the particular record you are showing now but looks to be a bootleg, at least a white label, see here: This is Shadow featuring Q-Tip on the regular Enuff 12". It was stenciled and spray paint splattered by Paul Insect (who did The Outsider artwork), given away at a signing at Santa's Ghetto as well as the 3 Freaks 12" in December 2006. It remains unclear hoby eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Some of you guys might have bought this DJ Shadow work comprised of demos, which is Total Breakdown: Hidden Transmissions From The MPC Era, 1992-1996, and which was released in 2012. Reminds you something already? Well there's a track on this compilation called Heavy Mood and this is the same exact sample used all along the track that you can find on IIlusions from Cypress Hill. I'll add a price friendly record unwarper. I have a DJ Krush acetate which still plays well, but have a slight bump enough to pertubate my cell on side Bby eiki - General Discussion
Hi people, Just came here to share my love on music and hopefully hardcore fan discussions, details on manufacturing differences over releases, matrix etchings. Hope you don't mind me coming from 'abroad'. Peaceby eiki - General Discussion
Hi guys, I specially suscribed to this forum after a google search for DJ Shadow items. I'm a huge collector myself with 200+ records/cassettes/vinyls, etc..., and I'm not counting with memorabilias. Did anybody here put his hand on a Secret 7? Does anyone have acetates or test pressings? I mean real rare stuff. Let me know if you wanna see some stuff I'll add picturesby eiki - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
