I said legend and still the man .. He will always be the man !!! Any thing he says , you feel that it's the truth . I also love that he never really flipped his style to stay current , but has always managed to stay relevant .

....he's the emcee's emcee. Put him on the stage right now and he'll proceed to rip the set. In the Golden Age of Hip Hop he was distancing himself from the rappers who needed "effects" and "lighting" to impress....when there were far fewer of those types in the game. It this era, the majority of popular acts are formulaic, overproduced or gimmicky....but, throw them on stage with just a mic and a breakbeat and see how long they last....

Legend. Captivating orator. Struck that balance between gangsterism and consciousness.

Went for legend but past his prime. I still remember how disappointed I was picking up "Sneak attack", which for me at the time symbolized just that very thing, he was past his prime . He has had a way to keep himself relevant for longer than most and always diserves respect.
