Debonair P, I agree with you on Charisma & PBW and Loot Pack, and that some of the earlier Stones Throw albums were really good. It just seems that they have lately been dropping a lot of psych rock, random weird sheet, just about everything except for decent Hip Hop. There are some exceptions of course, but seems to me that as a label, they really went far left after Dilla died. Madlib's all over the map, J-Rocc joined the raster with an album but it's absorbent and forgettable, Guilty Simpson and MED dropped a couple of albums that hardly received a whimper of press.

Sorry Boom Bap, I'm not trying to hijack your thread, my bad.

No apologies needed. This thread was started to try to get some shit stirring, and bring in some recent (last 4 years) albums to light.

I am however kinda shocked that there aren't more fans of this album. Personally, I think the production is great on BOTH (reg & remix, although I like the original better overall). I just re-re-listened, and think it's a strong album.

I counted my iTunes stars for this album and rated it a 73/95 stars with interludes getting an auto 2. Eliminate the interludes and I give it a 69/85, which is decent. I'll have to go over other albums and tally up.
