Heavy D was a great rapper, had an ear for R&B and keen ragga\dancehall deejay skills, I got a few Daddy Freddy 12"s with him as guest spitter and he was on point. I must have played "Now that We Found Love" over a thousand times when I DJed in the club and at weddings and whatnot years ago. Never got sick of that song either even though it was played out on the radio. Gonna miss him, never even knew he was ill.
