Hi guys,

I specially suscribed to this forum after a google search for DJ Shadow items. I'm a huge collector myself with 200+ records/cassettes/vinyls, etc..., and I'm not counting with memorabilias.

Did anybody here put his hand on a Secret 7? Does anyone have acetates or test pressings? I mean real rare stuff.

Let me know if you wanna see some stuff I'll add pictures

Show pics! I know a lot of cats would wanna see what you got.
I never landed the 7" you are talking about, I wasn't quick enough on the buy button the one time I saw it.
Speaking of rare, here's one I've never seen before, I don't know if it's an official test press or a bootleg, but you might want it if you are a Shadow completionist.

^The etching says SHAD1. The songs are available elsewhere but I've heard this particular copy and it's nice and loud so I think it's legit.

I don't have the particular record you are showing now but looks to be a bootleg, at least a white label, see here: [www.discogs.com]

This is Shadow featuring Q-Tip on the regular Enuff 12". It was stenciled and spray paint splattered by Paul Insect (who did The Outsider artwork), given away at a signing at Santa's Ghetto as well as the 3 Freaks 12" in December 2006. It remains unclear how many copies of this one exist.

On this one you find 2 of the 3 What Does Your Soul Look Like blue 10", also the green vinyl for Def Surround Us which outer sleeve is plain blue (I don't own the one Unit27 mentions, but there are only 100 copies too). The marbled one is for I Gotta Rokk from his las LP, only 100 copies given on tour with the regular outer sleeve the black 12" comes in. the signed sleeve under those records is the Sad and Lonely 10", limited to 500 copies and given away in 2011 during the Shadowshpere tour in Melbourne, AU. The autograph makes it even rarer as only few got signed. On the bottom right corner there's a white sleeve, it's 1 out of 10 existing acetates for Monosylabik.

Those are 4 promo Cds for Preemptive Strike. The one on the bottom right corner is the Japanese market release with the word sample engraved on the disc hub and a promo sticker on back. The bottom left one is the regular US promo. But the real deal is the Japanese promo with all mowax logos. Specialists will tell you that it's really hard to get these kind of promo as record companies are a lot more picky and they call back most of their landed items. O,e of the 2 copies is still sealed.

Some of my CDs.

These pics are a year old and since then I concentrated on vinyl discs I have most the gatefold LPs and many super limited discs. I also have a rare thing which is only 5 copies wordlwide, and 2 of the Secret 7"

I have that as well, bought it from DJ Shadow back in the day when it came out. Mine is quite different looking but the same silk screened artist did it. Apparently there are only 100 made, and when the artist did that he put all 100 of them in a giant square 50X50 and created a huge image of that bandit guy that could be seen from the tops of buildings. I'm satisfied to only own one of the 100.

double thumbs up
