Disagree on LL, it may have been a successfull song but it is hardly one of his most important or biggest songs from his vast catalogue imho. I'd put Nice & Smooth over Redman too just because the sample is basically all they used on that joint. Redman had a nice mix up with some other samples. Smooth Operator is a definite contender though.

Eye hear ya GMM but IMHO, Around The Way did a lot to put LL on that next level career-wise...Mama Said was a breakthrough album in terms of his mainstream acceptance and this joint and the title track were most the significant reasons why.

The Redman joint really leaned heavily on sample in the hook.
