I was bumpin The Future Is Now on the ride to work about a week ago .

No doubt, JayB....'The Future Is Now' is one of those albums that will kinda go down like The UN album (IMO). Great production (for the most part), by some legendary producers....ill raps and all....street classics in certain circles....but, unless people like us talk about it, and remember it - revisit it....it will be forgotten (in the whole timeline of hip hop music), as time keeps ticking...especially considering the new/next generation of rap music/hip hop fans will totally by-pass it - because they never knew...or had reference of it....or, too caught up in the hype of the "now" - or, next (disposable) hit rap song....too inconsiderate - too non-appreciative and too pompous to do the lessons and study the blueprints of the game - the architecture of the beginnings, thru the evolution....

I'll get off my soap-box - my bad.


....that being said....'Cult Leader' is my shit (from that album) - besides the Pete Rock produced 'if you got love' - and, The Large Professor produced, title track.

^^ I agree homie .there is so much great underground that will soon be forgotten . I practically preach it to the young dudes at work , but they're not hearin it . If it's not extremely repetitive and fits the new cookie cutter mold that is steadily becoming the " hip hop " standard , then they don't care . Sad .....

I always hoped these guys would put out more albums. I thought they kinda stopped short with one album and a mezo album, which is kind of a compilation of sorts "The Green".

Primo dropped one of his best beats ever on this crew...





and besides that, that whole "Future is Now" album is pretty underrated, I got it on CD but I still don't have that on record.

They kinda just went their own separate ways as solo artists I don't know what they are doing now.
