yo....since I've been listening to a few golden-era/age albums over the past few days (Hurby's Machine - 'The House the Rap Built'.....DJ Chuck Chillout & Kool Chip - 'Masters of the Rhythm')....I've been pulling out other random joints, which had got me thinking about starting this thread. As I think about random tracks that I used to rotate all the time back in the day (and go back and listen to them now), i'll see if there's any video for them...or, at least a audio video for it (if there's no actually music video out there) - and throw them up here.

Strictly golden-era/age joints (1986 - '92/1993): Please feel free to add on.

Ain't Nothing to It - K-9 Posse

Wanna Rock - UTFO

Stop The World - Black, Rock and Ron

I don't know how to embed stuff because I'm legally e-tarded but how come Maestro Fresh Wes rarely gets love during these convos? I'll put Drop The Needle or Let Your Backbone Slide up against 90% of the 'classics' and I think they would win.

Drop The Needle

Let Your Backbone Slide

*edit: embedded videos for you. -rchecka

Also reminded me of HDV, who repped Toronto (but wasn't Canadian), who went onto 'become' Jacky Jasper and now runs some weird tmz like site (but about hip hop??)

HDV - Secret

More random canadian rap stuff...

Dream Warriors - My Definition Of A Boombaptistic Jazz Style

Kish - I Rhyme The World In 80 Days

Apple & Orange - Kick Da Flava

good video/songs.

I've had the 'Symphony In effect' and ' Black Tie Affair' albums....but, Canadian artist wasn't gettin' no love (in the states) back in the day. Maestro Fresh Wes made a little noise (in the states)....Michie Mee had a single or two, that did aiight (in the states). If I remember correctly, (sadly) Snow was the only Canadian artist who really broke through, in the Reggae/Club/quasi-rap market, in like '92/'93 with that '12 Inches of Snow' album...Informer, being the lead (hit) single.
