Compiled using strictly my Orb collection 12" singles, EPs and LPs, here's my latest "best of" mixed compilation. This one is on the multi-talented ambient techno master minds behind the Orb. This starts off very chill and gradually builds. A great mix for these oh-so-very-hot Summer days.

I would have never considered this to be my type of music , but I have to admit that I liked it. Some really chill stuff , and I liked that some of it had that old school electro feel . Nice mix homie !!!

Just listened, it's good background music for me, but I won't be burning to ride to it, sorry. Don't get me wrong, it's cool. It's not you, it's me lol. I am a fan of high energy music, and this is too chill for me to ride to, but I might be able to fall asleep to it (in a good way).

^Thanks for the words JB and BB. You're right Boom Bap it's definitely not high energy music, but not nearly chill enough to sleep to I don't think. Wait till you hear my upcoming Brian Eno mix, now that's uber chillout music, you'll be able to read to it and sleep to it because it's background music, like elevator music for heads. But as far as this mix goes only the first few songs are super chill, if you keep on listening it get's really bass heavy and faster. The last few songs are about as high energy as the Orb gets so definitely keep on listening if you only got through the mellow intro. The first song is like 12+ minutes long of uber chill space music, but this wouldn't be a "best of" Orb mix if I didn't put that in, Towers of Dub = best Orb bassline ever.

BTW, that demo of little fluffy clouds is nothing like the rave anthem that the original turned out to be in the early 90s, Orb fans should check that out for sure, I really like the Hip Hop/Trip Hop style beat for that one. The space song (the one that starts out with the "special" guy talking about putting the needle on the phonograph is very hard to find and a monster ambient techno song. Just after that the mix rolls into the bouncier faster basslines with Alex Patterson's signature dubby bass. My favorite tracks are the last three (not including my interlude) so relisten if you slept on it.

Happy Independence Day to all Americans! For it is on this day centuries ago that we found true freedom from the oppressive Brits like Dr. Alex Patterson of the Orb. I'm pretty sure his distant relatives are directly responsible for oppressing distant relatives of mine, but I'm willing to look past that since he makes dope ass ambient techno music.

Dude I love this! Been a fan of the Orb for so long! Most of these remixes are new to me. That Little fluffy clouds remix is straight Hip HOp! So so dope!

About to change the oil on two cars. Gonna listen again!
