For deep cleaning and restoration I use Groovy Cleaner.
Spray that stuff on the record directly and let it pool up on the dirty surface of the record (or the whole record if it's trashed) (don't let it touch the label or it will peel off the label and bleach the color.)
.
Let it sit on the record for about 5 minutes. Then wipe using a record cleanup cloth (press down very hard as you wipe with the grooves.)
Repeat if necessary.
I swear by this stuff because it has rescued records that I thought were beyond help.
For basic dust pickup, removing static from a record, and minor fingerprint cleaning I use GruvGlide
A little goes a long way if you read the directions. I use mine all the time to get static out and clean up dust buildup and it's lasted years.
I recommend having both of these cleaners they both work differently for different problems and together for really fucked up records.
