Something is wrong with my turntable setup

I'm having a lot of trouble setting up my turntable with new speakers.

The left speaker isn't working, and even the right speaker seems to be a bit jumpy.
I know both speakers work, as the person I purchased them from tested them out for me.

I feel like I've tried every variant of the cables in the back of the amplifier.

I just don't know what's wrong! Does anyone have an idea?

Screw the headshell out and lick (yes lick with your tongue) the four gold pins on the now removed headshell. Then very loosely screw it back in and stop tightening when you feel the metal contacts inside contact each other. Never over tighten or problems happen.

If you got your stereo sound back it is because there is a buildup of oxidized residue on the headshell pins or inside the tone arm contacts. Licking it is a temporary fix / test to see if the contacts need TLC so you will want to buy a product that cleans all your audio contacts. If that is the problem you can spray it on the contacts inside the tone arm and on your headshell pins to resolve the issue.

I recommend Deoxit.

Let me know if that works, there are other steps to try later if it doesn't.

Good luckthumbs up
