^I tried. I wouldn't hold your breath, by that snotty response you can tell it's a low priority by the developers. Keep in mind, the software that runs this forum is open source modular programing. In other words it's made by developers for free out of the goodness of their hearts based on the open source philosophy that every software should be free. They (the lot of them) developed the modules that allow the little extras you are talking about. I have been bugging em to do soundcloud and mixcloud modules since this launched and I'm getting crickets. They have real jobs that pay them and do these kind of things on the side, and they will take "donations" to push along custom developments. For time sensitive enhancement requests some of the programmers will request a large fee to develop a specific module that all will eventually benefit from.
If you wanna throw some dough into the pot for this specifically, it might happen, but probably not with our current forum. Quite frankly I could buy a high end forum software for this place, but I don't have piles of money laying around, and we'd need to be a whole lot busier than we are to justify a major upgrade and a new monthly fee. Hosting is cheap, this place isn't slammed with activity to need high end servers (yet!) so what we got is gonna have to do until that happens.
BTW: I check this forum all the time w/ my phone, don't you guys have SWIPE keyboards? It's not hard to get super fast at texting w/ swipe once you get used to it, and your specific keystrokes you make are "learned" by the software, so it gets better the more you use it. I don't think Tapatalk is faster than that system, I could be wrong, but Tapatalk is paid and swipe is free.
Sometimes free is good. Especially when yous a broke ass like me LOL.
We'll see, maybe phorum has someone working on it now, they do drop a lot of modules regularly.
