In the last 20 years or so our generation has been extremely blessed to have witnessed
innovations in technology unheard of many years ago.
We were born through in some interesting times.
But what do you miss?? As we take these strides with inventions to make things better,
what things or ways of life in general you wish they could bring back.Even if it was for a month or two.I'll go with a few things here, feel free to chime in...
1.The importance of the old school
payphone.
Was there anything cooler than
dropping the dime
No not like that...haha but literally putting 10 cent in the phone
to make your local call) and handling your business.
Everybody saw you while you was talking, they all wondered how you was gettin down...
Was you calling a cab?calling your girl?being Monte Hall?Talking to your boys or whatever.
But you was on the spot,you even broke into a stance or two and didn't you just love to cut that stare at the person that walked up on you waiting to use the phone after you...I ain't finished yet.Haha
2.
Park Jams.
The ones we get now are so esthetic,so organized, so sanctioned.
To me it's feels like three hours of live advertisements instead of entertainment.
I loved the raw energy, the massive crowds,the unscripted mixes by the dj's
the emcees rockin rhymes.The whole night feel with the dancing and chillin in the dark.
Now the Parks Dept, 5-0 and all the heads in the know put breaks on REAL gatherings.
3.
House Medallions.
It was the prettiest thing you ever saw, next to your lady and daughters of course(haha)
It was 5-point(Pentagonal) shaped like a house.Usually carried 1 or 2 stones in the design,
a diamond or ruby.Set up with a decent link chain..You was straight!!
