QuoteSeith I've found single shoes on the side of the road. Probably the most life-affirming find, great for those moments when you really want to feel connected to humanity. Did they drop from the electric lines above?by rchecka - General Discussion

Crossed off Type O Negative with the 3LP Run Out Groove Pressing, still seeking the others.by rchecka - PIFs Trades Wantlists and Sales
Hello and welcome. It might be a dirty micro switch that needs cleaning. Does it make the same noise when you manually move it from the run out groove to the run in or only when the player does it automatically? If it only happens on automatic return try cleaning the micro switch with some Detoxit or some other electronic contact cleaner. Fixing it involves disconnecting the deck compleby rchecka - Turntable Help and Technical Questions
Recently... Fantasy Three - It's Your Rock 7" (Specific Records / Fraternity Music Group) 2019 ^Another once old is now first time 7" pressing from the good folks at FMG. I really love this label and they have quite a few first time on seven Hip Hop 7" records in the works. Portion Control – Simulate Sensual LP (In Phase Records) 1984 ^Last night I bumped this extremely interesting compilation that gathers some of this enigmatic band's best tracks. One could mix this with Einsturzende but it's not at all as harsh sounding. It's more electro and distorted synth sounding with sparse vocals. Dark industrial cinematic electronic music, very exby rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

RN... Sleep - The Sciences 2LP (Third Man Records) 2018 ^Super dope stoner rock album that I finally woke up to. I understand this was released on 4-20 of this year in a limited colored vinyl edition and evidently that day I slept on Sleep. Since that time I've had a hard time finding this on wax in a reasonably priced version of any color. But yesterday my luck changed and I foby rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

There is a semi local place here that has great reviews and is a bit more than discmakers but only about 30 dollars more. https://www.mediaxpress.net/products/cd-production/short-run-cd-duplication-services.html I don't have the mixtape copyrighted and have no intention of doing so. This is an unofficial mixtape, my funk mix, and I think official mixtapes are rare and always way too eby rchecka - Turntable Help and Technical Questions
So many options, so little time. Can anyone recommend a high quality CD-R duplication service that will do a short run 50-100 discs complete with artwork. I've looked into CD Baby, Duplication.ca, EasyDisc.net, Discmakers and even into local options. Prices vary a lot and I would rather have quality vs cheap CD-Rs. Anyone have experience with this? I got a referral to Duplication.by rchecka - Turntable Help and Technical Questions
^Nice write up, I love that guy too. Very enigmatic free jazzer and not nearly as eccentric as Sun Ra. This weekend I enjoyed... Mundell Lowe - Guitar Moods LP (Riverside Records) 1960 ^File under soft (what we might today call) "coffee shop guitar jazz" courtesy of a massively slept on jazz label that I need to find more records from. Here's a great article on this BTW... QuoteCalum Marsh - National Post The flat-earth movement, in its own peculiar way, appeals to the arrogance of the ignorant, arousing a dormant sense of being meant for something special. It empowers you to overcome confusion and conquer stupidity – not the hard way, by learning and understanding, but in a way that’s much easier, by redefining the thiby rchecka - General Discussion
Flat earthers are the all time dumbest cult muppets on the planet. They choose to believe something not because they know it to be true but because they want to be a part of a group of people who question authority. They favor belonging over their own internal logic. They cannot be reasoned with because reason is meaningless. They fear science itself. I cannot think of anything more weakby rchecka - General Discussion

Easily one of my all time favorite classic rock bands and absolutely worthy of their own thread. Speaking personally, Morrison made me fall in love with poetry when I was in high school which is likely something I never would have gotten into so early on without his music and lyrics. Personally I think they are one of the best bands of all time and frankly I like them much more than the Beaby rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
QuoteGordon Rekcikssa Lyrically, it's nowhere near as cosmic, but has that same hippie "drop-out and get back to nature while staring at your belly button" vibe that was prevalent around that time. LOL Sell it!by rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
