Highly recommended. So who else here still buys wax regularly, sound off. What's been rotating?by rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop

What is your All-Time Favorite Hip Hop mixtape? (it can be tape, vinyl, CD-R, mp3) Name names; artist and title... (it can be a crew or a solo DJ) Don't mention something you are feeling right now, name a mixtape that stands the test of time.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
This 'kend... I finally updated my Beatnuts collection a bit. Damn! the production on this one is so good. and... Syndrome AKA Devious Monk - Mad Hatters 12" This guys voice is so crazy dope, too bad Wadetrowax refuses to sell me this even after I recorded it for him. He says it's his part of his "personal collection" and I can't have it,by rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Just added a poll to the topic. Holler if you voted and why you ranked it that way.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
^I agree with all that, except for one thing. The classic tracks on this mix are not played out any more, they were played out years ago, but a lot of them I forgot about until I heard this yesterday. But like you said, they used the classic tracks very sparingly and enhanced them with other instrumentals. I'm gonna agree on the 9/10 rating too, after all, how do you give a 10 ratby rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Cash Money Brothas - Volume 3 (wit da TRUNK of FUNK) This one's... About 20 years old therefore no Serato, Torq, Stanton Scratch or any other mixing software was used. Long before mp3s and CD-Rs... A mixtape was on tape. As underground as it gets, few people heard of these (retired?) Chicago DJs (In the mainstream circles especially). Recorded to wav straight from the cassette thby rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
WTF is going on over there, someone needs to get fired in their IT department. Their server is down again for the 20th time this year? They get tens of thousands of views per day, you'd think they'd have enough money for a server upgrade.by rchecka - General Discussion

QuoteDJBoomBap Stetsasonic - On Fire I was gonna mention that one too, no doubt!by rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
QuoteDJBoomBap >< LOL! I had to post this after this weekend's Family Guy aired the whole video. I laughed during the whole thing. The look on Bowie's face while he's jumping down from the balcony is priceless. And Mick Jagger's pockets are like old lady droopy boobs.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Non Hip Hop
I truly hate people that openly say things like "Oh, I love Lady Gaga, I'm a huge fan! She's so creative!" Somebody actually said that to me when her name came up in a discussion. The look on my face must have made it obvious that I thought she was dumber than a goldfish, because she had the nerve to look at me with a surprised look and say "What?" QuoteGMM Today it's two stone cold classic albums in "Here come the lords" & "One for all". ^no doubt. Last night I bumped my new favorite Ultramagnetic MCs record... Ultramagnetic MCs - Chillin w/ Chuck Chillout 10" ^Limited, dope, and more dope! ...and I recorded this for my man Wade, it was in his "limbo stack", a rare as hell rby rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Yeah, can't forget about Cold Gettin Dumb, that's gotta be one of the tightest beats he ever dropped. I agree GMM, he kinda lost it a little bit after the 80s especially, I wonder why that is. But that stuff mentioned above is timeless.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
Right now I'm really enjoying this album, thanks for the link P. Great stuff.by rchecka - Crate Digging: Hip Hop
