Not sure if you heard but undergroundhiphop.com is closing up shop after 20 years. After declining sales due to the digital music wave they couldn't afford to keep it goin. Sad day for the hiphop community. They were the first official store to carry our music and bummed to see it come to an end. If you have any recommendations for any online retailers selling underground hiphop music post the links. This was my go to shop for most of the music i copped online other than discogs/ebay.

DAMN!!

They were a fantastic store for Customer service and their selection was incredible. They had all kinds of good music on all formats, not just Hip Hop.

This one is a big one, very sad to see them go.

Sad news. I often wonder how specialty genre stores like this were able to keep it going for this long.

Is Access Hip Hop still around? Their site seems dead with few updates and little activity.

Nah accesshiphop just closed up shop around a month or 2 ago. I think both accesshh and ughh coulda stayed afloat if they didn't open a physical location. Took on too much overhead and eventually sank. We only have a handful of record stores open in San Jose and who knows how much longer they'll be around.
