I wanna root for this label, there's not too many big Hip Hop labels putting out albums anymore on LP. Seems like it's been a long ass minute since a decent rap LP was dropped by Stones Throw. PBW went off into some kind of DJ la la land or something by watching some of his recent live mixes, and Egon is holding it down ayite with Now and Again which has been dishing out all kinds of good non Hip Hop albums for a long streak. I am curious about some of the newer Hip Hop albums Stones Throw have been promoting, but I'm afraid to take a chance cuz there's gonna be some weird ass didgeridoo sample in it or something.

I havent heard it yet , but I think the Quakers album will be good. Anybody picked it up yet ? Oh NO - The Disrupt , was a petty good album . I downloaded a jonwayne mixtape on the ST website , but I think that dude is kinda wack.

Most Dilla albums are solid - The Shining is generally good, Donuts is one of the best albums ever released IMO (although not a rap album), Ruff Draft is good, Jaylib has got some great tracks on there...

Word Jimmy Green, that Jaylib - Champion Sound album was pretty dope.And I don't think anybody here can hate on Dilla.

Yeah, Dilla was dope of course. I just excluded him from my list of rap albums since I never heard much rapping on them or at least Dillas beats were the focus moreso than guest rappers.

Actually some good reviews are going around about that "Quakers" album, and it's Geoff Barrow of Portishead so I'm really curious about that.
