How much sense does it make to lie to your fans 10 times a year?

Precisely the amount that they profited off the reissues. ((angrysmokey))

Seriously though, I know what you're saying about that type of "scheming"---not particular to Shadow since I'm not a collector of his stuff, but similar things have happened to me in the past.

Also, kind of related, I've noticed a bunch of reissues lately that really only represent an opportunity for the label and/or artist to make money as opposed to a reissue that is really called for (by the fans).

That is absolutely how I feel it with those Back To Black 180g reissue. What does it bring to the listener? Just a more expensive native price, vinyls are 180g and you get your free 3MP 320kbps rip -_- Well Your grandma could have done it by herself...

Whoah.... Shadow central up in here! Biggup! smiling smiley

DJ Food is / are dope... depending on the time period, I think. You guys know that DJ Food has been different people at different times? Started out as Coldcut (Matt Black and Jonathan Moore) while they were still signed to their old label (couldn't use the name Coldcut due to contracts). Then they added Strictly Kev (current DJ Food) and Patrick Carpenter aka PC. The early stuff is pretty cool - very breakbeat DJ tool type stuff (hence the name DJ Food). I've got Jazz Breaks Vol 1 - 4 on vinyl, and DJ Toolz vols 1 + 2. Along with a few bits of old Ninja Tune stuff.

Checka - I was starting a Ninja Tune mix... I'll send you a rough one when it's on the way if you want! smiling smiley
