You're right rchecka , maybe I was reaching a bit with Odd Future...but let's take a minute and think: What constitutes being a crew as a opposed to just a group?

^A crew is more like a group of groups. I suppose the best example of a crew would be Native Tongues which consists of Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Black Sheep and more. Native Tongues would be the crew, Tribe would be the group inside the crew.
