Underground Hip Hop is such a vague term and encompasses so many artists. We all have our underground favs that we think is better than the next shit, the stuff that doesn't get nearly enough well-deserved props or discussion amongst heads...

Name your personal favorite underground artist that you would like to see get theirs. (Choose one, ok, 3 artists at most)

Edit:

To clarify...

  • Any year choices are fine. It could be old school underground, could be new stuff. Chose regardless of what Hip Hop era it is in.
  • Your choice(s) must still be considered underground. For example, yall know that Black Eyed Peas were once considered underground because they were underground. Obvious one off, but you get the drift, if they aren't underground anymore, don't bring it up.

RA the Ruggedman, Siah & Yeshua DapoED , I always liked this track by Supterranean ( kinda sounds like bizarro Digable Planets )

Laid back jazzy joint .not really dope rhymes , but a nice vibe . I always wanted to hear more by them but never did.

Hard call because of a lack of consistency for a lot underground cats....Eye have a lot of one offs in that category.

RA is very entertaining...very unique, always stands out on a track...prefer him on collabos, kinda like Busta.

Yesh & Siah had that epic, "A Day Like Any Other" and the remix "A Day Like No Other"...those joints were crazy! Eye have some solo stuff by Yesh that was kinda nice as well.

As for my three...

KEV BROWN ...just like this cat's style, both as an emcee and on the beats. Reminiscent of Pete Rock...consistent quality.

J-ZONE...hysterically funny, ridiculous on the beats. Always seems to bring the heat.

THIRSTIN HOWL III...another cat that has a wicked sense of humor. Dropped 2 or 3 tight albums and then faded. Deadly lyricist, real deal Brooklyn cat...Lo-Lifes and all that.
