Great stuff... Man, I like all your nominations. Good point Eye on the consistency factor, that's true.

Mine:

Group: Rubberoom out of Chicago. These guys have that heavy underground sound, loud rhymes, distorted dark boom bap. They only dropped one album* and every track is a banger. I was lucky enough to even cop the instrumental white label of that because the beats are on point (*Architechnology) I thought for sure that these guys would have done more, instead they settled on a series of one-off solo collabs and a few twelves.

Beats: Sixtoo out of Vancouver. Graph artist\beat maker\lousy MC. I never liked this guy when he was rhyming, it was ok but nothing as dope as his beats. His beats are all over the map, no reoccurring theme except they are all pretty dope. He's got a ton of 45s (I own a few) that are just layered beats that blow up. He plays his own drums on his beats, and his artwork is pretty sweet too.

Solo: J.U.I.C.E. of Chicago (It was between this guy and Edo G, but I think Edo is basically overground at this point, that's arguable) He's got very little out there in terms of releases, he's most famous for his MC battles. I got a few of his 12"s, some of them are dope, some only ok, the production isn't outstanding on the few I have but his voice and sharp wit is what stands out the most. Some of the best stuff I heard from this guy was on mixtapes and CD compilations, the kind of stuff that never got pressed on wax. There are some grails out there on wax of his that I will find eventually. I have no idea where this guy is today or WTF happened.

^These tapes are legendary, I got none of em.worried
