I got his Fela Soul instrumental on wax, dope project. Not too enthused by the idea of this project but good to see he's still working.

The way I figure, it's a novel idea, but it could be dope or it could be wack depending on their selections. I wanna hear it either way, very curious about this.

The Runnin blend is pretty poor, I thought... out of time and acapella too low in the mix. Some of the others sound like they could be good, but just wondering why it's being done. Some blends I can get behind - hell, I do them myself - but others seem a little unnecessary. I'll still check it though - might be awesome!

Yo JG , this will not necesarily be a blend tape , because he is not using Tribe instrumentals , he is using the original samples used in Tribe songs to make beats and run the acapellas over them ( I guess like a remix ) . I hope it will be good , but we will see. I like the Fela Soul album ( De La Soul over instrumentals that sample Fela Kuti ) .
