@Eye ...I'm on the ledge...I would've been slightly pissed at the Dinco Incident...truth be told if they were gonna have one "leader" it should've been Busta...I think that why I would've been mad Lmao....

P.E.'s new album.....'Most of My Heroes Still Don't Appear On No Stamp'

Just caught them and Salt n Pepa live @ Wingate Park in Brooklyn on Monday. Both groups did well. Crowd gave Flav crazy love! They did a joint off the new album...@ which point the crowd did a mass exodus, which Eye thought was f'd up cuz the song wasn't bad. Oh well, their loss cuz they missed Fight The Power by bouncing early.. Kid n Play came out during SnP's set and ripped it with Roll Wit Kid n Play...the crowd went bonkers when they did the kickstep dance. One sour note, at top of the show it was announced that a surprise guest was opening the show....Leaders Of The New School!!! What it turned out to be was Dinco onstage alone....and not for long...walked off in the middle of Scenario...don't know what happened but the whole thing was a bad look. Otherwise, it was a good nite.

good 'ole Wingate Park...have had a few times there..as well as inside the school...LOL.

People just dont know that P.E. is still putting out some good music - their last few albums have been tight,...but, i guess it's the younger heads....

sad issue about LONS....

I thought Play renounced, non-secular rap after going into the ministry....?

Last night...

DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince - The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff 12" (Word Up Records/Jive) 1987

^The most magnificent Hip Hop 12" from these 2 IMO (with the exception of Summertime maybe). The megadope mix ain't false advertising either. Sometimes you forget about how good this duo was back in the day.

Blackjack - Addicted to Drama LP (Penalty Recordings) 1996

^Dope late period gangster with guest spots from Biggie and MC Eiht. Really dope shit, glad I got this copy on wax. Skits are a little over the top, but hey, it was the time.

copped two dope, new releases....both albums automatically are on the top of my list (so far) for best rap album 2012.

and....

Some producers stay stagnent and don't grow and elevate their craft, with the same, repetitive beats - same sound....but, Alchemist has consistently grown (and continues to grow) as aproducer and really upped his game....i think he really topped himself on this album. i feel this album is Alchemist's version of Dilla's donuts....but - not your typical rap album....

peace.
