Here's my take on this fam. Yes the beef has always been a part of the culture, but I see it more as a by-product, as opposed to anything definitive, to which the culture's existence rests on. Yes I understand, there was definitely cats battling back in those days. Did these battles bring about competition to make dudes sharp? Yes. But how about in today's context? See the reason the Nas and Jay thing went the way it did, was because these two brothers came up in the golden era. Beef now has a far different connotation in today's hip hop landscape. Rappers now would rather pull out the ratchet than think of a dope verse to respond to a diss.

Ok, I think I feel you on this, do you feel it's just more of semantics..case in point say
the purpose of some (sneakers/kicks) is to protect your feet while your walking,
but whether or not they have shoelaces it does not really affect the mission of the pair of kicks itself,feel me.Like a baller with a earring or tattoo,it might look cool but he can still put up 20 and 10
a night without it on the court.I'm using these analogies to understand what your saying,fam.

I was looking at the aspect of Hip Hop as it's entire entity.Like a state.
States have cities, towns,streets,parks,schools,etc.
Many things make up a State.So even though Atlantic Avenue,
is smaller in retrospect to the entire borough of Brooklyn.
It still is apart of Brooklyn (and Queens also) thus forth it makes up NYC,
which is one of the cities that make up the state of New York.

So I feel that Elements sort to say, are all things in regards to Hip Hop,
because as you know atoms and molecules could be large and small depending on
what structure it makes up.Only my opinion.

Hahahaha loving the analogies g . Yeah that's about the size of it. I completely understand where you're coming from. Speaking of the B-Ball analogy..Basketball will always be basketball. The rivalries between teams like the Pistons and Bulls made it more entertaining.
