My latest mix uses all the Hollertronix EPs numbered 1.5 through 10. I have collected them all throughout the years, and I have been meaning to put them all together on a mixtape for myself and my friends and family since I picked up the final volume last year. I finally got em all together and mixed up my favorite joints on each EP for yall.

Hollertronix (Diplo and Low Budget) fans will dig this, but even if you are unfamiliar with their work, this will definitely blow up your tape deck.

It’s LOADED with 80s beats remixed club-style with various Hip Hop acapellas spackled on top by the duo. Listeners will pick up on all the classic 80s tracks and samples, including Michael Jackson, the Clash, and many other recognizables. This is a great end-of-Summer mix, very party oriented. Yall will dig this, don’t sleep.


The tracklisting is not available since most of the songs used were not labeled properly. But don’t let that throw you off, you will definitely recognize a lot of the songs and samples. Edit: The last track in the mix is the original sample used, not from the EPs.

What a frantic mix! But I loved it. Defentely not a morning drive to work mix, this ones for after dark for sure. I can't stand some of the emcees on it, but I love the instrumentals and production. Overall a great mix again man ! Thanks again for this one. By the way, Tanks for mixing Johnny Osborne in there at the end. Whats the movie sampled at the very end?

Great review man, obviously you listened to it all the way thru and I agree completely.

I hear you, when I first heard these records I couldn't understand Hollertronix's choice of MCs either. They were really not my style at all, especially since, at the time, they already were starting to get played out. But they took some accs that I normally wouldn't pay attention to, and added compressed 80s synth pop beats underneath and officially changed my mind. Their simple but sub-heavy remixes changed my mind. All 10 volumes have some tracks that strike a chord on the dance floor. Which is really what this mix is all about; Hollertronix's best beats, served up continuously.

very good, mixtape, rchecka...I appreaciate you blessing me with a copy!! i like all the 80's joint, blended in with like bubblier, club-type, dance beats....blew my mind when you had the Paul Simon, you can call me Al, join in there. love the samples (i.e., Cylon from Battlestart gallactica, Mike Tyson, etc....). even thought i heard a joint from Weird Science in there...or, was it from Ferris Bueller...? dope mix, my man!!!
