I just watched some more of this series . I was sad to see the bad review of United Record Pressing . Since they are local to me , I would have like to see them in a better light , but if they are dropping the ball , it's nice to know it ...

I've had more problems with records pressed at URP than any other plant. I do have some good ones though. I think a lot of the problems started around 2 years ago, supposedly the plant took on way more orders than they could handle and QC/QA went down the toilet. If I know a record is pressed at URP and really want, I will try to buy from some place that will allow no questions asked refunds and exchanges. Otherwise, no go.

They had to open up a plant 3 times the size of the original plant . It is right down the street from where I work . I know some of the people who work over there and I guess I should have expected a decline after seeing that they got a job there .

Yeah, I heard about their massive expansion. The thing is, some plants care about quality, others just care about moving product through the line and getting it out the door as quickly as possible. United is one of the plants that mostly does the latter. That means out of every batch of records they press there are going to be a decent amount of defective ones.
