I didn't figure I was the only one with this issue , but it feels comforting to hear other people relate to it . Crazy story Rchecka !! I too bought from GEMM and musicstack . My biggest thing with this situation is that these are cats that nobody knows trying to get their voice heard . They took the time to record the music , paid the money to press it up , but put minimal effort into getting it to the consumer . I told Gas-Lab in an email that this is a great way to turn off potential fans . I do have to say that he was super cool to correspond with and it seems like he is gonna make it right , so I give him props for that ...

So I got my replacement record yesterday . It was well packed and included an apology note . The only issue I have this time is a warp in the vinyl , but it plays fine . I guess I can live with the warp . Even though it drives me crazy to see that in new vinyl . I feel like that is out of their control , so I don't hold that against them ...

You are more forgiving than a lot of people would be. You gotta wonder if it was warped because of the way they shipped it to someone else like you and had it returned since it was warped.

That is always a possibility but odds are the warp happened at the pressing plant. Very common right now.

Sounds pretty obvious they are new at this and don't really know what they are doing yet. If I was running a label and someone returned a record, I'd make sure the replacement copy was as perfect as possible. A lot of records look flat when you eyeball them but are in fact warped. You have to put the record on your turntable to really tell if it is warped or not. They should've done that. They probably just grabbed another copy out of the box from the plant and shipped that out without really checking it.

^^ this is what I figured happened . I hate to bad talk these dudes because I'm all for indie hip hop artists doing things on their own . Plus I'm digging the music . I do feel like if you are gonna sell your music on vinyl that you should know how to handle it , or bring in a partner that does . They may have been better off selling cassettes or just staying digital . I did notice something a little shady on their bandcamp page . When I bought my copy , it said limited edition of 25 with 3 left . Yesterday there was 25 left . Does this help to s lp copies ?? I never noticed that with anybody else before ...
