The video is pretty entertaining, very over the top. This actually isn't a new idea and is featured on some very expensive (e.g. $100K) turntables. Having this feature on a TT with one of Pro-Ject's lowest-end tonearms and a $40 cartridge is rather pointless in my opinion. Of course the dummies will be all over this, just like they were with the vertical turntable.
