The US Can Now Launch Cyberwars - One of my 2011 predictions (now replaced with 2012's predictions) talked about Cyberwar escalating, or as I like to put it, "Cyberwar is Now." A recent change to the U.S. National Defense Authorization Act supports this notion. It states that the Department of Defense can conduct offensive cyberspace operations with the President's approval.

So if a country provokes an attack on the US government via Internet viruses or whatever malicious attack they can conjure, we can legally attack back from our desktops. Scary.

Nowadays , that is really scary . Computers run the world . And think about how many people can be affected by one person and their computer. Imagine if our nation's defense ( or even worse an enemy nation's ) used it as a weapon . Makes me cringe a little.

Cyber warfare is no fucking joke. There is another new law aimed directly at China and Iran that says cyber attack is now considered a physical attack and will be returned with full military force. China hacks the gov every day testing defenses and I'm sure we do the same. Then there is that stelth drone that was lost control over Iran---yeah fucking right. It was hacked. No doubt in my mind.
