Fat Ho Burgers a big hit in Texas

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Someone may want to tell Lawrence Taylor that it is not only just a clever name, but the capacity-plus crowd that poured out the doors at the grand opening of “Fat Ho Burgers” in Waco, Texas seemed to know exactly what they were ordering.

Plump, juicy burgers like the single patty option called the “Supa Fly Ho” or for a double dose of patty called the “Supa Dupa Fly Ho”.

The name hasn't come without controversy but “Fat Ho's” 23-year-old owner Lakita Evans says it's hard out there for an entrepreneur.

"It’s not calling people a Ho, its just like they say..’Oooh that ho is big or that ho is tight!’…"

Evans, who worked her way through college to get here, says the name is mostly a bit of humor in an otherwise serious world.

Evans says "Look what's going on in Japan. It’s like clear this world is not gonna get any better. Why cry and be depressed. The economy is bad. Somebody gotta keep a sense of humor around here."
