I didn't see ANY reference to an extremely important element in HIP HOP.
Hip Hop dances
There seems to be no reference of the HipHop dances that we did back then and subsequently
was in almost every video during Hip Hop's hey day in the late 80s and early 90s.
Please forgive me if I missed it,
but I didn't appear to see it.I really do not know how you would go about
incorporating it into your periodic table either as a group or individually, I don't really know.
But almost everyone here I am sure would agree that those dances had EVERYTHING to do with Hip Hop.

The skinny.....
Everybody knows that poppin and lockin was around before Hip Hop but then...
there were two different time lines and two different styles of breakdancing itself.
75 - 81 They called it "floor moves' or rather "breakin' "
with the B-Boy freeze, sleeper freeze, helicopter, etc.

Then there was a lull where it almost disappeared from the NYC Streets for a while.
I guess cats got older and didn't want to mess up their fly gear.
Then about the time of Planet Rock, the Latino cats appeared to take over, incorporated that famous "Spin move"
and did more uprockin' and led to the breakdancing element most know or recognize today.

But from around the time of Queen latifah, Slick Rick & Doug E.,Big Daddy Kane,Kool Moe Dee,
Fresh Prince even on through the start of the EPMD period.People danced upright and rocked dances known as...

The Reebok
The Fila
The Prep
The Smurf
The Wop
The Cabbage Patch
The Happy Feet
etc..

WTF right? hahaha
Let me jog yall peoples memories...

(Reebok) was that dance where your went side to side looking like you was banging on somebodies door.
(Fila) As I remember you dragged yourself like a gorilla then you popped up with one hand in the air like the Statue of Liberty.
(Smurf) Loved the Smurf it was the easiest to do,it looked like you was swimming while you went up and down
with your body at attention.
(Wop) Was in a bunch of videos,It looked like you was turning Double Dutch. With you head and neck jerkin in time.
(Cabbage Patch) WAS NOT the dance you see them using in all the parodies..It originally was a side to side dance that resemble a march in where it was a simple 1-2, (1-2-3) quick step.It was later on exaggerated.

Hmm....let me think hard here
There was a crazy dance called The Party Machine
where you looked like you was doing jumping jacks while shaking something sticky from your hands and feet, haha
Also ..
The Running Man (The Hammer dance)
The Butterfly (Which they stole from the Jamaican dancehalls)
The Roger Rabbit (jumping rope backwards)
The Steve Martin (resembled something Charlie Chaplin would do)

The Bart Simpson (The dance MJ rocked in Remember the Time also TLC made it famous)
The Brooklyn...
There was also this dance called The Pepper Seed hahaha
I couldn't get down with it it looked to feminine. But the ladies rocked dat s**t.

This stuff was out wayyyyyyy before the Harlem Shake, Walking it out,
the Crip walk and all the newer stuff.

Peace...have at it my friends

haha....He just did his own variations of the Roger Rabbit and The Running Man,
with a little Kingston twist from Jamaica thrown in their also.

People dismiss what he did..along with Hammer also,
but when it first came out, everybody thought it was dope.
And some still do..because it's carrying over 26 million views on youtube.
