Crap in your collections?
September 30, 2012 01:25PM
I've recently started weeding out vinyl & cd's I never listen too and after a second listen I remembered why. Most of it I got for free or for a few cents but some I really don't remeber how they got there. I've gotten rid of most and suddenly I feel a lot better. So what wack, useless or unlistenable music have you gathered?

Here are some examples:

Eric B - S/t cd
Moby - Play cd
Wee Papa Girl Rappers - Get into the groove 12"
Boogie Boys - Kick the power 12"
Kool Moe Dee - Can u feel it 12" (His worst song by faaaaar)
Afrika Bambaataa - Pupunanny 12"
Cousin Ice - Can I get a witness 12"
OST - Muhamamd Ali The Greatest LP (nice covert art though)
Tavares - new directions LP
Cameo - Machismo LP
Grand Rapmasters - Christmas rapping cd (Bambaataa, Pow wow & GLOBE make hip hop versions out of classic holliday songs)
CEB - Countin endless bank cd
Spyder D - Gangsta Wages cd
West coast rap all stars - We're akk in the same gang cd

and loads more...

So what you got?

I hear ya on that, G. I've been moving a lot of records and CDs lately for this man room expansion and I'm thinking I gotta unload a few of these to make more space for the good ish.

I usually try to unload all my bad wax and CDs but it appears I haven't in a while.

I got all kinds of bad folk music for example. If anyone likes obscure ass folk music PM me, I got you..

Yup, I'm trying to move 40-50 records in the next month or so...lots of crap, random stuff I'm not interested in and hip-hop singles (etc.) that are just fine but not getting pulled out often enough.

I am originally from Tennessee , but I lived in Florida for 5 years. While I was in Florida , I copped a ton of records off Craigslist . When I came back to TN , I was out of work and had time to really sort through my vinyl , I ended up getting rid of almost 2000 records . All of which I had no interest in . Some kid drove down from Kentucky to get them . He was a young dude with limited funds , so I told him $100 and they were his . I still have a few records that lack that special something , but for the most part , I have a reason for keeping all the other records in my collection. Actually , I have to take that back , I forgot about the records I got at auction . I got like 300 pieces for $20 a while back , but was only interested in about 30 records . Way worth the $20 . I think the rest will go to goodwill.

^Yeah, I know what you mean JB. Anytime you buy in bulk like that you get a lot of crap that yer grampa woulda liked. I never buy in bulk, but once in a while records get unloaded on me as "gifts" cuz someone knows I like wax. So I get on my doorstep a box of Abba, Best of Kenny Rogers, (Kenny is dope by the way), etc. While I appreciate the gesture, it's not really doing me any huge favor. I'll end up with one or two out of 200, then I have to unload 198 on someone as a "gift". Here ya go dude, there's like 5 copies of William Hung's big 12" single in there, your welcome, type shit.
